LAS VEGAS, March 11, 2025 ~ The highly anticipated release of limited edition casts of the famous sculpture, 'Horse and Rider', by Renaissance master Leonardo da Vinci has been announced by the owners. This marks the first time that the casts will be available for public purchase, with previous sales being exclusive to private collectors.
The original bronze artwork, valued at $100 million, is currently housed in a bank vault in Las Vegas. It was authenticated in 1985 by renowned Renaissance expert Professor Carlo Pedretti and is now part of a private collection in London, England.
The production of these casts is being handled by American Fine Arts, Inc., a highly respected foundry based in Burbank, CA. The company was chosen for its reputation for exceptional quality and renowned artists. According to AFA's CEO Brett Barney, each cast is an exact replica of the original sculpture, complete with a fingerprint believed to be Leonardo's and his signature.
Art encounter, a 32-year-old art gallery and dealer headquartered in Las Vegas, will be handling worldwide sales of the casts. CEO Rod Maly reports that 78% of the first release of 50 bronze casts have already been sold and all 25 silver casts have been sold out. Each cast comes with a certificate of authenticity and is individually numbered and registered for security purposes.

He stated that it was the owners' desire to share this masterpiece with the world and producing exact casts allows a select number of collectors to own this treasure.
The story behind 'Horse and Rider' adds to its historical value and makes it an even more desirable piece for collectors. The current prices for these limited edition casts are $45,000 USD for bronze and $65,000 USD for solid .999 silver. Each purchase also includes a custom carrying case.
