Spurred on by the exciting opportunity for unity that she sees in the midst of this unprecedented era of division, the acclaimed musician, top-ranked international speaker, and CEO of Jade Media Global is set to blaze a historic trail as an Independent contender in the 2020 race for president.

CHARLESTON, S.C. - nvtip -- Monday, March 9th at 12:30 pm, Charleston's own Jade Simmons will greet family, friends, supporters, and the press at Washington Square Park, 80 Broad Street, to confirm the start of her trailblazing 2020 run for President of the United States. Simmons will share more about her vision and plans for Operation Restoration, which is the movement powering her campaign.

In addition to the press conference, two other events are planned. On Monday night, a Friends and Family Reception will be held at the Renaissance Hotel from 6-9 p.m., 68 Wentworth Street. All are welcome. On Tuesday morning, March 10th, from 9-11 a.m., at the Renaissance Hotel, in honor of Women's History Month, Simmons will also host a women's event, Women for Restoration: Owning Your Mission, Your Message, and Your Movement. Last Friday, Feb. 28th, the St. Andrews high school, Northwestern and Rice University alum announced her intentions in Houston at the first Operation Restoration Rally, a non-denominational gathering in support of challenging the current state of division in the nation.

The sought after speaker is brought in by the world's most superlative brands to speak on transformational leadership, change mastery, innovation, and personal development. She was recently named one of the Best Keynote Speakers of 2019 (Northstar Meetings). She has been called on to inspire and influence a variety of industries including technology, healthcare, financial services, chemicals, manufacturing, fitness, pharmaceuticals, and education. Simmons describes her campaign as an inspirationally independent, powerfully non-partisan, and faith-fueled movement that focuses on "common ground, common sense" platforms that unite, rather than further divide.

Jade first made waves as an out-of-the-box concert pianist, trained by West Ashley piano teachers Kay Whitehead and Mimi Nussbaum before going on to get her bachelor's and master's degrees in piano performance from Northwestern and Rice universities respectively.
