The fruitful collaboration between director and cinematographer continues with the 2026 film release.
LOS ANGELES - nvtip -- Home, the upcoming feature film from acclaimed director Sean McNamara, will mark the latest collaboration between McNamara and award-winning Director of Photography Shawn Seifert. Having previously worked together on Bau, Artist at War, the duo reunites to bring a distinctive visual language and cinematic scope to McNamara's newest project, which follows a charismatic con man (Mike Vogel) who must risk everything to save an immigrant child (Lincoln Fox) to give the young boy the Home he never had.
Seifert has quickly established himself as one of the industry's rising cinematographers, earning recognition for his ability to blend emotional intimacy with striking visual storytelling. Most recently, his work on Bau, Artist at War garnered widespread acclaim, winning Best Cinematography at the Sunscreen Film Festival, where the film also received Best Film and Best Director honors, a testament to the talents of both director and cinematographer. Bau, Artist at War, which stars award-winning actor Emile Hirsch, continued its successful festival run by winning Best Feature Film at both the Tarzana International Film Festival and the Burbank International Film Festival, while also receiving a nomination for Best Cinematography at the Rehoboth Film Festival.

"Working with Sean is always an adventure! He brings such a positive energy you can't help but give it your all every day," says Seifert. "Thankfully we collaborated so well as a team, so when he called about shooting Home, it was an immediate yes. We are excited to share another powerful story with audiences later this year."
Seifert's growing body of work spans studio productions, independent features, and television. His recent credits include the Paramount+ original Buddy Games: Spring Awakening, Jason William Lee's Fun House, and Lifetime's The Bad Seed Returns, which earned him a Leo Award nomination for Best Cinematography (TV Movie).
A Vancouver native, Seifert is a proud member of ICG 669 and a CSC Associate Member, bringing experience from more than 50 productions throughout his career. He began in the industry with Crosby Marine Film Services, contributing to ambitious productions filmed in and around water, including The Revenant, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Power Rangers, and all three installments of the modern Planet of the Apes trilogy. Since photographing his first feature, FSM, in 2014, Seifert has collaborated with a wide range of filmmakers and performers, including Josh Duhamel, Emile Hirsch, Inbar Lavi, Kevin Dillon, McKenna Grace, and Sean McNamara.
