Oral Cancer Initiative Proud to Welcome Dr. Gordon Isbell, III
CHICAGO - nvtip -- The Oral Cancer Initiative today announced the appointment of Dr. Gordon Isbell, III, DMD, as Co-Chairman of the newly formed Dental Advisory Board for the Oral Cancer Initiative.
The new OCI Dental Advisory Board constituted on March 14, 2020, initially consists of Dr. Howard S. Glazer and Dr. Gordon Isbell, III. They will work as co-chairs to lead forthcoming members in their commitment to lessening the threat of oral cancer and increase oral cancer screenings.
Dr. Isbell was born and raised in Gadsden, Alabama, where he currently specializes in a thriving and state-of-the-art Family Dental Practice. Dr. Isbell, III received his DMD degree from the University of Alabama Dental School in 1981. He is an avid proponent of Continuing Education in dentistry. In 1989 he received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and went on to earn his Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry in July 1996.
On accepting the Dental Advisory Board Co-chair position, Dr. Isbell commented, "It is my distinguished honor to serve on the Oral Cancer Initiative Dental Advisory Board, and bring positive influence from my 40 years in the practice of dentistry. Our goal is that our efforts will bring all of dentistry to work together as a family of One Voice United."

He served on multiple committees, councils, and boards in 2016: The Alumni Awards Committee - UAB School of Dentistry, The George Petrie Society- Auburn University, College of Math and Science COSAM Deans Leadership Council - Auburn University (10th year- *Deans Leadership Council- 5 years School of Dentistry UAB, *Research Dental Practice Network- 5 years), All American Society- Auburn University, and the 2016 AGD Professional Relations Committee.

Oral Cancer Initiative's mission is to heighten awareness of the danger of oral cancer and save lives through screening events.
Our model is to act boldly and think big by offering large-scale free screening events to communities around the country through school districts, large corporations, and other organizations committed to the health of their communities.
