LAS VEGAS - nvtip -- Las Vegas Host Lions Club has been meeting the needs of the community through volunteerism and fundraising since 1938. Las Vegas' oldest Club is a part of Lions Club International, the largest service organization in the world. The mission of LCI is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding.
Along with over 1.4 million Lions around the world, Las Vegas Host's community-minded members give their time and energy to make a difference in the lives of others. Their service supports five specific global causes which present significant challenges to humanity including diabetes, vision, hunger, environment, and childhood cancer. Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships, and improving the world through kindness.
"I joined this club because it was all about service, and I have never looked back," said Marlon Call, the President of Las Vegas Host Lions Club. "After many years in business & networking, I have learned that you get back what you give. It is so important to go out and give people respect. Being a part of Lions is rewarding, and it is a tremendous opportunity serve to others at a high level."

"I appreciate the camaraderie and what we do in the community," said Ken Richardson, a member of the club since 1995. "We have been participating in eyesight screening projects around the community for many years among other important causes. Being involved in bettering our community by giving back to it is what motivates me to continue my membership in Lions Club."
Community service projects that Las Vegas Host Lions Club supports include food service at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission, cleaning and sorting of donated eyeglasses for recycling, annual participation at Opportunity Village's Magical Forrest, and vision screenings at local schools, churches, and community organizations including Project Homeless Connect.
If you are a community minded person, Las Vegas Host Lions Club may be the perfect place for you. They meet every Tuesday for lunch (except the 5th Tuesdays and holidays). Please call Scott Volmer (702) 596-9739 for the meeting location and to reserve a seat. https://www.e-clubhouse.org/sites/lasvegas/
