LAS VEGAS - nvtip -- The Las Vegas Urban League WIC (LVULWIC) and employees from Resorts World Las Vegas recently joined Santa and his reindeers this holiday season in providing a mountain of gifts to some 50 underserved Southern Nevada families, as part of LVUL's Adopt-A-Family program.
Resort World Las Vegas employees bought and wrapped gifts for an estimated 175 children from 50 families that included bicycles, flat screen televisions, video games, clothing, gifts cards and much more.
"Our WIC (Women, Infants and Children) mothers and families had an early Christmas this year," Tim Perez, Director of WIC Nutrition Education Centers, said. "Adopt-A-Family was fantastic this year. Resorts World share the same vision as us.
"This is the best part of my job," Perez added. "Not just managing Nutrition Education Counseling for our WIC families, but also building community partnerships to benefit our WIC families."

This is the fourth year LVUL has held its Adopt-A-Family Program, and plan on the continued collaboration with Resorts World next year. LVUL asked families what they needed most for Christmas. Resorts World employees enthusiastically donated their money and time in wrapping gifts, which families picked up Dec. 20 at the LVUL West Flamingo WIC office well in advance of Christmas Day.
