Jacques Cousteau said, "We forget that the water cycle and the life cycle are one." Wastewater is part of that water cycle and is long overdue for a re-imagining. Smart system control using AI can be an integral part of that re-imagining platform for operating WW facilities more efficiently, more effectively, and more environmentally responsible. —Stephen Vasconcellos, Ph.D.
In 2007, Dr. Vasconcellos was co-chair of the Coagulants and Flocculants Symposium in Louisville, Ky., and in 2008 was co-chair of the Water Reuse Symposium in Orlando, Fla. In 1994, he earned the Pennsylvania DER Green Award. GE awarded him in 2005 with the "Best of the GE Betz" award and in 2006 with the Edison Award. In 2006, he also earned the Spirit of Innovation Award. In 2015, he was acknowledged by Water Quality Professional magazine as a 20 for 20 icon.
With this appointment, ProcessMiner's Advisory Board now comprises five directors, most of whom are external and independent.
