LONDON and DANVILLE, Va., Nov. 7, 2024 ~ Las Vegas, Nev. - RBW EV Cars and Spirit EV have announced the hiring of Peyton Sellers as their first Director of U.S. Operations at SEMA 2024 in Las Vegas. The announcement was made at the RBW booth (#24515) and marks a significant step for the U.S. and UK's only EV manufacturer of new, hand-crafted British classic sports cars.
Sellers brings a wealth of automotive and racing experience to RBW and Spirit EV, having previously owned a business that specializes in large-scale assembly of special commercial vehicles. He is also a two-time NASCAR's® Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Division I Champion.
In his new role, Sellers will oversee RBW's new U.S. factory and manufacturing team, which will produce the new left-hand drive RBW Roadster and GT models. He will also manage the assembly of EV system units for U.S.-based Spirit EV customers.
RBW's decision to hire Sellers comes at a pivotal time for the company as it prepares to open its first overseas factory in Virginia, followed by the launch of its sister company, Spirit EV.
Sellers' interest in automobiles began at an early age when he started racing go-carts at just seven years old. He then moved up the ranks and started his first stock car race at fifteen. Since then, he has achieved numerous victories and championships, including two Late Model Stock Car National Championships that earned him a place in the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

Aside from his successful racing career, Sellers has also been assembling vehicles for many years. This includes custom builds for business clients across the U.S., as well as large-scale production assembly at his own company. His extensive knowledge of automotive assembly and strong relationships with local businesses and government officials were key factors in RBW's decision to expand into southern Virginia.
Sellers expressed his excitement about joining RBW EV Cars and Spirit EV, stating that there has been a growing trend among customers for EV systems in their vehicles. He believes that the two family-run EV brands will be a catalyst for economic and manufacturing growth in southern Virginia.
Spirit EV, which was launched last month, is a fully compliant EV design, testing, and production company. It offers businesses the option to outsource any part or the entire process of their EV project, providing expertise from initial development to production. The company's engineering team takes a unique approach to each project, treating it as a custom piece of art due to the specialized level of customization required for electrification.
