SEOUL, South Korea, Jan. 8, 2025 ~ The Seoul Business Agency (SBA) has made a major announcement regarding the opening and operation of the largest-ever Seoul Pavilion at CES 2025. The pavilion, led by CEO Hyun Woo Kim, was officially opened on January 7 (local time) in Las Vegas.
CES, known as the world's largest technology exhibition, takes place annually in Las Vegas. This year, it will run from Tuesday, January 7 to Friday, January 10. The Seoul Pavilion spans an impressive 1,040 square meters (11,194.5 square feet) and features 16 organizations that are leading Seoul's startup ecosystem.
The opening ceremony of the CES 2025 Seoul Pavilion was held at 10:30 a.m. on January 7 (local time). CEO Hyun Woo Kim and the heads of the participating institutions were joined by 103 university student supporters for a group photo.
The pavilion is a collaborative effort between three districts - Gangnam, Gwanak, and Geumcheon - five startup support organizations including SBA, and eight leading universities in Seoul such as Konkuk University and Yonsei University.

During the opening ceremony, representatives from 26 organizations, 104 participating companies, and 103 supporters came together to declare their ambitions for "Team Seoul" and showcase their readiness to make an impact on the global tech stage. The event was held under the slogan "Team Seoul, ON BOARD to Dive in!" with institutional representatives conducting a ceremonial "boarding" event on stage. The university supporters illuminated the event with green aurora light sticks representing Seoul's theme color for 2025.
Representatives from Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the organizer of CES also visited the Seoul Pavilion to observe demonstrations of key technologies.
In addition to the opening ceremony, SBA has organized various events to promote participation from startups based in Seoul. On January 5th, before the official opening of CES, SBA hosted a media showcase called "CES Unveiled" where 10 startups from the pavilion presented their products, attracting significant attention from domestic and international stakeholders.
On January 8th at 5:30 p.m., SBA will host the "Seoul Innovation Forum" (SIF) at Caesars Palace Hotel, which is the first-ever global startup networking event at CES. The forum will feature pitch competitions by 10 startups from five countries and discussions on CES trends and industry insights. Representatives from partner countries such as South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Switzerland, and the Netherlands will be in attendance along with over 150 participants including media representatives.

Additionally, on January 7th and 8th, the "Tech Tour" program will guide representatives of the participating institutions through key exhibition booths at Eureka Park and Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). These tours will focus on promising advancements in mobility, digital transformation, lifestyle, robotics, and AI technologies.
Thanks to SBA's robust assistance programs, startups in the Seoul Pavilion have achieved a record-breaking 21 Innovation Awards this year. This is a significant increase from last year's accomplishments. SBA provided comprehensive support to these companies including application reviews and one-on-one consulting with expert coaches to help them succeed.
CEO Hyun Woo Kim expressed his excitement about the Seoul Pavilion at CES stating that it has evolved beyond a one-time event into a pivotal program that provides meaningful support for companies aiming for global expansion. He also mentioned that SBA will continue post-CES initiatives to help participating companies achieve sustained success.
