LAS VEGAS - nvtip -- Andre' Haynes was appointed by the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Nevada to the Southern Nevada Disciplinary Board on June 26, 2024. His term, effective from July 31, 2024, spans three years, with eligibility for reappointment to three additional terms, totaling a maximum of twelve years. In his role as a board member, Mr. Haynes will participate in both screening panels and hearing panels, each composed of three members (two attorneys and one non-attorney).

The Southern Nevada Disciplinary Board, which includes both attorneys and laypersons, is responsible for conducting screenings and hearings for the Office of Bar Counsel. Depending on the type of hearing, panel members essentially sit as jurors and hear the presentation of discipline cases where there are allegations of professional misconduct.
