Vegas Doubles Down on Las Vegas Aces with Sponsorship for Every Active Player

The First ~ Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Aces, the reigning champions of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), have just received a major financial boost from their hometown. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) announced today that they will be sponsoring each player on the team for the next two years, in a first-of-its-kind deal.

According to LVCVA President and CEO Steve Hill, the sponsorship agreement was brokered directly with each player's agent and will provide $100,000 per year to every active player for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The simple yet significant partnership allows the players to focus on their game while representing their city with pride under the slogan "Just Play. Rep Vegas."

Hill expressed his excitement about this groundbreaking collaboration, stating that "these players have put a national spotlight on Las Vegas" and are "the perfect ambassadors for our city." The announcement was made during a surprise event following the team's scheduled practice. The current active roster includes star players such as Kierstan Bell, Emma Cannon, Alysha Clark, Sydney Colson, Dyaisha Fair, Chelsea Gray, Megan Gustafson, Kate Martin, Kelsey Plum, Kiah Stokes, A'ja Wilson and Jackie Young.

The Aces made history by becoming the first team to bring home a national title to Las Vegas - known as the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World. Hill proudly shared this achievement during today's press conference.

Joining Hill at this milestone moment were two female mayors who also serve on LVCVA's Board of Directors - North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown and Henderson Mayor Michelle Romero. They were joined by other board members including County Commissioner Michael Naft, Jan Jones-Blackhurst, and Ann Hoff to congratulate the team on behalf of Las Vegas, also known as the "Greatest Arena on Earth."
