Amid AI Hype at HumanX Conference, Bestselling Author Chuck Bolton Addresses the Reality Gap in Corporate AI Readiness

LAS VEGAS, March 12, 2025 ~ Las Vegas, NV - The first-ever HumanX AI conference concluded in Las Vegas with a focus on cutting-edge AI developments. The conference, which saw over 3,300 senior decision-makers, 330 speakers, and 270 journalists in attendance, highlighted the growing disconnect between tech companies promoting advanced AI capabilities and businesses struggling with basic implementation.

During the Aligning Human Expertise with AI Infrastructure panel discussion on March 11, Greg Shove, CEO at Section, expressed his concerns about the current state of AI deployments in enterprises. "Deployments of LLMs (large language models) inside of enterprises in this country are stalling, failing or slowing down. That's what's happening right now. This is not working," he stated. Shove emphasized the need for companies to start small and focus on practical solutions rather than being overly ambitious.

Amrit Saxena, Founder and CEO at SaxeCap, echoed Shove's sentiments during the AI-Driven Enterprise Value Expansion panel discussion on March 10. "You have to start small, train your people and actually deliver wins and drive momentum for companies," he said.

Bestselling author and executive coach Chuck Bolton also weighed in on the issue of AI implementation during the conference. In his book "The CEO's AI Playbook: A Human-First Approach for Leveraging Gen AI to Create Massive Value," Bolton highlights the need for businesses to prioritize human-centric approaches when adopting AI technologies.

"We're seeing an over-focus on the next shiny AI advancement when the reality is that fewer than 10% of knowledge workers are AI-proficient," says Bolton. His book provides a framework for CEOs to develop an AI-ready culture while keeping humans at the forefront. The "CEO's Gen AI Framework" outlines a five-step process that helps leaders learn and apply AI in their workflows while guiding organizational adoption.

According to Bolton, successful implementation of Gen AI requires a balance between technology and behavioral change. "A Gen AI rollout is 10% tech and 90% behavioral change," he notes. He emphasizes the importance of leaders role modeling AI usage, providing proper training for both leaders and knowledge workers, and pursuing the rollout with intensity to achieve results and create lasting change.

Bolton, who offers Gen AI training and coaching for CEOs and leadership teams through The Reinvention Solution, is available for interviews to discuss bridging the AI readiness gap in corporate America.
