HENDERSON, Nev. - nvtip -- The Avery Burton Foundation (ABF), in partnership with the Public Education Foundation (PEF), proudly announced the recipients of its 2026 scholarship awards supporting Southern Nevada students pursuing higher education and purpose-driven futures.
This year's scholarship recipients include:
The scholarships are part of the Avery Burton Foundation's ongoing mission to transform mental health awareness into action through education, advocacy, and community support.
Founded in memory of Avery Burton, the organization continues to invest in young leaders while promoting resilience, wellness, and hope throughout Nevada communities.
"As we continue building the next generation of Mental Health Champions, we recognize that education changes lives," said Reggie Burton, founder of the Avery Burton Foundation. "These students represent resilience, leadership, and possibility. We are honored to support their educational journeys and future impact on our community."

The Avery Burton Foundation recently presented a $5,000 scholarship contribution to the Public Education Foundation as part of this year's scholarship initiative. Each student received $1,000.
ABF also expressed gratitude to Dr. Beverly Mathis, Vice President of Academic and Community Initiatives and the Public Education Foundation team for their continued partnership and shared commitment to student success across Southern Nevada.
The foundation's scholarship and educational outreach efforts are part of a broader initiative focused on mental health advocacy, youth empowerment, and community leadership development, including the future launch of the ABF Mental Health Champions Academy.
