BioBond Enters the Hot Melt Market With BioBased Technology For Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSA) Applications

LAFAYETTE, Ind., Sept. 25, 2025 ~ BioBond Adhesives, Inc. has made a major announcement today as they enter the hot melt market with their new product, BioMelt™ Pressure Sensitive Adhesive. This innovative adhesive is made from plant-based components and is certified as USDA Biopreferred, making it a sustainable and environmentally friendly option for labels, tape, and various industrial and consumer markets.

According to Greg Piche, Vice President of Products at BioBond, the BioMelt™ PSA line is the company's third product segment that is derived from plant-based materials. It is also free of odors and microplastics, as well as PFAS-free. Piche believes that this new product will be a game-changer in the industry due to its excellent performance and competitive pricing.

Brad Boelkins, Vice President of Business Development at BioBond, also expressed excitement about the potential impact of BioMelt™ on the industry. He stated that they expect to scale up production by the end of 2025.
