"For decades, I've seen how proper preparation and persistence lead to extraordinary finds in the field," said Charles Garrett, host of the podcast and longtime metal detecting enthusiast. The podcast will feature interviews with successful treasure hunters who have uncovered valuable coins, Civil War artifacts, and gold nuggets, sharing their techniques and experiences. "The costs of getting started in metal detecting may be stable, but the potential rewards—both historical and monetary—can be tremendous if you know what you're doing," noted James Wilson, PhD, historical archaeologist and regular contributor to the show. "Our goal is to help listeners make informed decisions about where to hunt and what equipment to use."
