The AI startup that turned a live conference into a real-time content engine exhibited at NAB Show and presented its agentic video platform to the broadcast industry.
LAS VEGAS - nvtip -- While the broadcast industry has spent decades refining post-production, a startup called Edit on the Spot is challenging whether that process is still necessary at all.
The company, which builds AI infrastructure for live event video, exhibited at NAB Show 2026 (April 18–23, Las Vegas Convention Center), where Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer Martin Renaud presented on the Startup Stage. His session, "Agentic AI for Real-Time Multi-Stream Event Video Editing: From Livestream to Socials in Minutes," introduced a model that replaces delayed workflows with real-time publishing.
The idea is simple: most event content loses value because it arrives too late. Traditional post-production for conferences and multi-day events can take days or weeks, often costing thousands. By the time clips are ready, audience attention has moved on, and much of the footage goes unused.

"The biggest issue in event media isn't capture — it's delay," said Renaud. "By the time content is ready, the moment is gone. We built Edit on the Spot to remove that friction."
To test this, the company deployed its platform, Eventcut, at SaaStock USA. Over two days, it processed 24 sessions in real time, delivering AI-generated clips, full-session recordings, and branded content within minutes. The entire workflow was operated remotely by a team in Europe, who monitored livestreams, approved segments, and published content without being on-site.
This approach reframes live events as publishing systems rather than recording exercises.
Eventcut integrates directly into existing AV and streaming setups. Its AI engine analyzes video, audio, and transcription simultaneously to identify key moments, segment sessions, apply branding, and format content for platforms like TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. It also includes features such as RTMPS streaming, multi-room support, and integrations with platforms like Vimeo, AWS, and Google Cloud.

The result is a system where a single operator can manage multiple live streams and produce ready-to-share content almost instantly.
Edit on the Spot describes this shift as "real-time event media," a category aimed at replacing traditional post-production entirely. NAB Show, one of the largest gatherings in broadcasting and media technology, provided a platform to present this idea directly to engineers, AV teams, and decision-makers.
Renaud's presentation included a live demonstration and technical breakdown of the platform, alongside case studies showing turnaround times reduced from days to minutes.
Edit on the Spot is an AI-powered video infrastructure company focused on eliminating post-production for live events.
