* IFEZ's 'INCHEON ~ Las Vegas, USA - The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) made a significant impact at CES 2025, the world's largest technology exhibition, by showcasing its vision for the future of smart cities and promoting innovative companies from Incheon to a global audience.
The 'INCHEON-IFEZ' booth, themed "Urban Renaissance: Building Tomorrow's Smart Cities Today," captivated visitors with its demonstration of a sustainable urban future powered by advanced technologies from Incheon-based companies. The booth welcomed over 12,000 visitors during the four-day event, which took place from January 7th to January 10th.
In an effort to boost the global presence of Incheon's startups, IFEZ supported the participation of 41 companies at CES 2025. These companies were divided across various exhibition areas, including 10 in the 'INCHEON-IFEZ' Booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center, 10 in the Korea pavilion (KOTRA) at Eureka Park, six in the Global Pavilion, and 15 as part of the Incheon Startup Park Delegation.

The results were record-breaking, with these companies conducting a total of 869 export consultations with international buyers and investors. This amounts to an estimated $400 million in potential deals. One standout company was Sheco, specializing in robotic solutions for recovering oil spills. The Vertical, a U.S. media outlet covering tech startups, recognized Sheco as one of the "12 Must-See Startups at CES 2025," highlighting their innovative capabilities.
In addition to these impressive numbers, six companies signed ten Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), creating tangible outcomes and opportunities for global market expansion and investment. Furthermore, IFEZ-supported companies won a total of thirteen CES Innovation Awards - setting a new record. These award-winning companies garnered significant interest from global buyers and investors, solidifying their position as leaders in innovation and technology on the world stage.
IFEZ actively promoted its initiatives and innovative companies through various programs at CES 2025. On the first day of the exhibition, the 'Unveiled Incheon Media Stage' was held for approximately 30 global media outlets. This event highlighted IFEZ's commitment to supporting businesses with world-class infrastructure and fostering global cooperation within its thriving innovation ecosystem.

The evening of January 7th saw the "All Connected Incheon Night," which brought together distinguished global leaders, including Kate Gallego, Mayor of Phoenix; Victor Hoskins, CEO of Fairfax County Economic Development Authority; and Doug Bruhnke, CEO of Global Chamber. During this gathering, IFEZ signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Global Chamber, a global business network organization. This collaboration aims to strengthen partnerships and better support startups in expanding worldwide.
Commissioner Yun Wonsok expressed his satisfaction with IFEZ's participation in CES 2025, stating that it showcased their smart city vision to the global market and brought them one step closer to their goal of becoming a 'Global Top 10 City.' He emphasized their continued support for IFEZ and Incheon startups in leading the global market and their dedication to developing Incheon into a global business hub.
