LAS VEGAS, April 7, 2025 ~ Monks, the global digital brand under S4 Capital plc, has reached a significant milestone in its mission to revolutionize the media and entertainment industry. The company has launched its offerings based on NVIDIA Media2, an AI-powered initiative that aims to transform content creation, streaming, and live media experiences. This launch took place at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) conference in Las Vegas.

Monks' innovations are an expansion of their existing AI-powered professional managed service, Monks.Flow. These new offerings utilize real-time AI and 5G-enabled camera switching to provide smarter automation for live broadcasting. This technology was first introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year and has now been fully developed by Monks Technology Services.

The suite of media and entertainment solutions offered by Monks is designed to drive innovation, monetization, and efficiency in broadcast. Leveraging NVIDIA technologies such as NIM microservices, Blueprints, NeMo, and Holoscan for Media, Monks focuses on real-time audience feedback, AI-powered encoding, and content analysis for large archives. Additionally, the company will be launching a new suite of vision language model (VLM) services in partnership with Twelve Labs.

Attendees at NAB had the opportunity to witness firsthand how Monks is bringing AI automation to live broadcasting workflows through a use-case demonstration at Verizon's booth. The company collaborated with Verizon to develop an AI use-case that utilizes video inference to drive intelligent software-defined broadcasting workflows at the edge. This technology uses video streams transmitted over 5G to suggest the best shots in a multi-cam feed while optimizing stream bandwidth through communication with downstream applications.

Monks' work in AI is supported by their award-winning professional managed service, Monks.Flow. This service recently received top recognition at the Business Intelligence awards in the AI product category. Monks.Flow integrates AI workflows from leading tech companies to provide customized solutions for their clients. The company also recently announced the launch of their Agentic AI Advisory group and Monks Foundry at NVIDIA GTC.

In addition to streamlining operations for brands, Monks.Flow, in collaboration with NVIDIA and Amazon Web Services (AWS), has also proven to have a positive impact on sustainability. By reducing carbon emissions associated with traditional broadcast workflows, such as inefficient resource usage and energy-intensive processes, Monks is helping to build a more sustainable future. This effort has been recognized by the Media Tech Sustainability Series, who will be presenting Lewis Smithingham, EVP of Strategic Industries at Monks, with the Sustainability Leader in Media Technology Award.
