Christina Aldan offers chair massages at Filipino mental health event
LAS VEGAS - nvtip -- Las Vegas massage therapist, Christina Aldan, offers chair massages at Kapihan2, a community mental health gathering hosted by Healthy Fil-Am Nayon at the Valley Health System Training Center, 6655 S. Cimarron Rd., Las Vegas, NV Saturday, June 13th. Kapihan2 is a welcoming space where members of the Filipino American community can gather to talk honestly about stress, mental health, and the weight of navigating daily life.
Luckygirl Bodywork is a Las Vegas massage practice built on the belief that chronic pain isn't a life sentence. The body, the mind, and the nervous system are integrated systems rather than three separate problems to be managed in isolation. Christina's work uses Myofascial-Swedish massage techniques that address the emotional history in the body alongside physical restrictions.

Kapihan2 is a gathering that creates space for community members to share what stresses them out and how they find their way through the harder seasons of life. Christina will be present as a volunteer, offering chair massages. Her volunteer work with Kapihan2 is a direct extension of the mental health advocacy she has carried throughout her career. "I spent over a decade as an mentor and Emotional Resilience coach. As well as over 8 years sitting on behavioral health non-profit boards and 3 years training Mental Health First Aiders. The most important thing I learned was that creating a neutral, judgment-free space is itself a healing intervention," said Christina Aldan. "The Filipino American community carries so much culturally and generationally. Kapihan2 the kind of space more communities need. I am there because showing up matters, and because this work has always been personal for me."
