FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - nvtip -- Lineus Medical is pleased to announce a new distribution agreement with DIMA MedTech, marking the company's entry into the Italian market and further expanding its growing presence across Europe after receiving CE mark in December of 2025. Through this agreement, DIMA MedTech will provide Lineus Medical with a local presence in Italy as well as support the introduction and expansion of SafeBreak Vascular throughout Italy.
SafeBreak Vascular is the only breakaway device for IV lines clinically proven to reduce multiple IV complications.1 When a harmful force is placed on an IV line, SafeBreak intentionally separates to remove the damaging force from the IV line and protect the patient's vascular access. Upon separation, valves on both ends of the device close, preventing medicine spills from the pump and blood loss from the patient. The separated device causes the IV pump to alarm, notifying the nursing staff to check on the patient. To replace SafeBreak, each component is unthreaded from the line, a new sterile device is installed, and the patient's infusion is continued. SafeBreak Vascular is cleared for all vascular lines down to two weeks of age– delivering better outcomes for patients, efficiency for nurses, and cost savings for hospitals alike.1

Vance Clement, CEO of Lineus Medical, stated, "Expanding into Italy is a meaningful step forward in our mission to remove the "pains" associated with medical lines. DIMA MedTech is a terrific distributor in Italy and our first in Europe."
