Ken McKenzie partners with Community to Hold Estate Sale To Help Families Who Cannot Afford Funeral Services for Their Loved Ones.
LONG BEACH, Calif. & LOS ANGELES - nvtip -- McKenzie Mortuary, known for its creative fundraisers will hold its Annual Estate Sale on Saturday, October 3 from 7 am to 1 pm. This event will raise money to help pay for funeral costs of families who have lost loved ones to the Covid-19 Virus. The goal this year is to raise $10,000 with McKenzie Mortuary matching every dollar amount through the McKenzie Foundation called KAMM Cares.
The inspiration to raise funds for this year's event came about when one of Kenneth's employees and their mother-in-law contracted the virus. He survived but unfortunately his mother-in-law died.
The mortuary has, a reputation for supporting those who are financially challenged. In the 1990s they averaged about 20 AIDs related cases a month and witnessed families struggling with the costs of funerals. Similar patterns are being recognized within this Covid-19 crisis.
There are several ways to participate in this very worthy cause; by donating items (free pickup); by making a direct contribution online; or by coming out to support the sale. As evidenced by their previous fundraisers, be assured that there are some interesting items for adults as well as children. Art, furniture, clothing, appliances and jewelry, tools and collectibles will be offered.

The Sale will adhere to strict and safe guidelines on social distancing. All attendees will be required to wear masks and subject to temperature screening upon entering the parking lot. Items will be displayed on tables six feet apart.
