LAS VEGAS, Aug. 29, 2025 ~ Krystal Roberts, the executive manager of Advantage Auto Group's Advantage Chevrolet of Hodgkins, Illinois, has been announced as the recipient of the 2025 Ally Sees Her Award. This prestigious award, presented by Ally Financial Inc. and the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers (NAMAD), recognizes the significant achievements of women of color in the automotive retail industry and their contributions to their communities.
As a second-generation auto dealer, Roberts expressed her gratitude for receiving this award. "This award reflects more than just me," she stated. "If I follow in my father's footsteps, I will be a third-generation female African American GM dealer in the United States. This award recognizes not only my hard work but also the dedication that my parents and community have for this industry."
Roberts has been a part of Advantage Auto Group for over 22 years and has served as executive manager for eight years. Under her leadership, Advantage Chevrolet has become one of the top 10 Chevrolet dealerships in the Chicago and Northwest Indiana area. Additionally, they have achieved a "superior" standing in car and truck sales, placing them in the top 10% among 147 dealerships statewide.

During her tenure as executive manager, Roberts has led Advantage Chevrolet to a 20% increase in sales, with approximately 2,200 new and used vehicles sold each year. But it's not just about performance for Roberts; she has also prioritized creating a positive work environment for her employees. She has implemented extended lunch breaks for eligible employees and paid memberships to health clubs to promote their well-being. As a result, female representation within her dealership has increased to 25% over the past five years.
Tammy Linkfield, Ally Senior Vice President – Auto Central Region, praised Roberts' accomplishments saying, "Krystal is more than deserving of this award. She has made a significant impact on the industry and serves as an excellent role model for other women of color."
To honor Roberts' leadership and community involvement, Ally has donated $10,000 to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Chicago, a chapter of UNCF that supports higher education and advocates for college-bound students.
