AI-powered construction math recognized for practical jobsite innovation
CARSON CITY, Nev. - nvtip -- Calculated Industries, a leading manufacturer of specialty calculators and construction tools, announced that Ask CMPro, the AI-powered feature within its Construction Master Pro app, has won a 2026 Pro Tool Innovation Award in the Software & Apps category.
Ask CMPro was developed as a purpose-built AI resource for construction math. Unlike general-purpose AI tools that draw from broad sources, Ask CMPro's construction math knowledge comes exclusively from Calculated Industries and more than 40 years of proven construction calculation expertise.
Each year, the Pro Tool Innovation Awards recognize innovative tools and technology across construction, automotive, landscaping, the professional trades and DIY markets. In selecting Ask CMPro as a winner, the PTIA judges said:
"Ask CMPro works on top of Calculated Industries' already advanced Construction Master Pro app and adds a practical, field-oriented AI layer, which the company built using 40+ years of construction math expertise. It supports voice or text questions on things like rafter pitch, stair layout, material takeoffs, conversions, and roof framing, and then walks users through the calculation steps. That makes it useful not just for speed, but for reducing costly calculation errors that lead to jobsite delays."

Now in its 14th year, the Pro Tool Innovation Awards drew nearly 400 product entries from more than 100 manufacturers in 2026. Entries were evaluated by a panel of industry experts and trade professionals based on innovation, features, performance and value.
"The Pro Tools Innovation Award reinforces what we set out to do with Ask CMPro: use new technology in a practical way that builds on the tools construction professionals already know and trust," said Steve Kennedy, President of Calculated Industries. "Our focus is on using AI where it can genuinely help trade professionals solve problems, work more efficiently and improve accuracy."
Ask CMPro is included with Construction Master Pro subscriptions on iOS and can be turned on or off at any time. Android availability is planned for later this year.
