By eliminating redundant tasks and automating the booking process, Prism software gives users back their time.
AUSTIN, Texas - nvtip -- Prism, an Austin-based company offering automated talent buying and venue management software built by music industry professionals, announces a new calendar feature that significantly improves productivity, efficiency, and collaboration among promoters, agents, and venues. The innovative capability is included in its current Calendar Management feature and is changing how live music is booked.
Shared Holds is a solution that eliminates the redundant, time-consuming process of requesting and approving holds via email. With real-time calendar syncing among accounts, stakeholders can instantly and automatically communicate and manage shows with fewer emails, calls and wait times. Shared Holds is yet another way Prism is making it easier for promoters and venues to book talent and collaborate so time can be allocated to higher-value efforts.

"Live music professionals have to find ways to streamline their businesses and do more with less," says Matt Ford, CEO at Prism. "We developed Shared Holds to help them manage holds in seconds and see the status of holds in real-time so they spend less time communicating back and forth and more time building their calendars."
Users can place holds instantly, confirm events, manage existing events, release dates, and clear holds with point-and-click functionality. Security features built into Shared Holds allows users to share only event dates and confirmed statuses with their trusted partners. Shared Holds will significantly speed the holds and booking process while giving users greater transparency into their business.
"The rollout of Shared Holds comes at a tough time for the live music industry," says Juan Torres, VP of Operations at Prism. "Our focus has always been on making the lives of music professionals easier and we are now doing what we can to help them survive the pandemic. We are also partnering with and supporting the National Association of Independent Venues (NIVA) and Independent Promoter Alliance (IPA). As an affiliate member of NIVA Prism is investing to ensure the survival of independent music venues everywhere. Supporting IPA has allowed Prism to come alongside a network of Independent Talent Buyers who have banded together to share best practices during the pandemic and prepare for the full strength return of live music."
