LAS VEGAS - nvtip -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Jeffrey J. Steffen has rejoined the firm's Las Vegas office as counsel in the corporate and securities group. A former member of the firm, Steffen brings a wealth of experience in corporate law and commercial real estate.
Steffen has a strong background in handling high-stakes transactions, including multimillion-dollar real estate developments, major corporate mergers and acquisitions, and complex finance deals. He works closely with clients on large-scale commercial transactions, applying his deep legal knowledge to help them navigate intricate business matters. His practice includes a broad range of business contracts, such as stock and asset purchase agreements, licensing agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements, nondisclosure and non-circumvention agreements, option agreements, franchise purchase and sale agreements, and settlement and release agreements. Additionally, he has significant experience negotiating and drafting game development and intellectual property license agreements for both land-based slot machines and online gaming platforms

Beyond corporate transactions, Steffen advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, entity selection, formation, and governance, including structuring operating agreements, bylaws, and corporate resolutions. He also represents buyers and sellers in commercial real estate and development projects, skillfully negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, and conducting title and survey reviews. His real estate practice extends to assisting landlords and tenants in drafting and negotiating residential and commercial leases.
Steffen earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (formerly known as the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois,) and his B.A. from Northern Illinois University. Before rejoining Snell & Wilmer, he served as a Chief Legal Officer at Sustainable H20 Technologies, Inc. In 2021, he was recognized by Vegas Inc. as a Top Lawyer in Real Property.
