GREENVILLE, Pa. - nvtip -- Thiel College was ranked as the top school in western Pennsylvania overall and recognized for the social mobility of its graduates among the Regional Colleges in the North in the 37th edition of US News and World Report Best Colleges rankings, released today.

Overall, Thiel College (https://www.thiel.edu/) rose to a tie for 18th among North Regional Colleges. Furthermore, in the north region, Thiel College was fifth among colleges ranked for the social mobility of its graduates. Thiel College was chosen as a top social mobility college due to the successful post-graduate outcomes of Thiel College students who receive federal Pell Grants.

The College has added graduate programs in business administration, clinical mental health counseling, communication and leadership, physician assistant studies and speech-language pathology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in nursing in the last three years. According to the US News and World Report data, economically disadvantaged students are less likely than others to finish college, even when controlling for other characteristics.
