WESTMINSTER, Colo., Nov. 7, 2024 ~ Trimble, a leading technology company, has recently announced the release of its Trimble Siteworks Machine Guidance Module for compact track loaders. This new addition to the Trimble Siteworks Software expands its capabilities from surveying and layout to now include on-machine guidance and operator assistance for compact track loader buckets. This marks the first time that the Siteworks Machine Guidance Module has been made available for a new machine type since its introduction for excavators in 2023, making it Trimble's first machine guidance solution specifically designed for compact track loader buckets.
The introduction of the Siteworks Machine Guidance Module for compact track loaders adds even more versatility to this popular and flexible machine type. With this all-in-one solution, users can now perform layout, grading, and leveling tasks with ease. The system also allows for easy transfer between multiple machines and jobsites, making it a convenient option for contractors. By simply installing a machine kit and adding the Siteworks software module, operators can quickly utilize their existing technology on-machine.

Elwyn McLachlan, vice president of civil solutions at Trimble, expressed excitement about the addition of compact track loaders to the Siteworks Machine Guidance Module. "The Siteworks Machine Guidance Module has been popular since its launch because it provides operators with a simple yet valuable solution for both surveying and grade control," he said. "Now with support for compact track loaders, we are further expanding the versatility of this machine type. Operators can easily use the bucket to level materials according to design without having to switch to a grading or box blade attachment."
The Siteworks Machine Guidance system includes the Trimble SPS986 or Trimble R780 GNSS Smart Antenna with tilt compensation and the Trimble ProPoint® positioning engine. It is compatible with any bring-your-own-device or Trimble field tablet that supports the Siteworks software. This module allows contractors to design, measure, and lay out projects off the machine. They can then transfer the GNSS receiver and field tablet to the compact track loader or excavator for in-cab, 3D machine guidance and grade checking capabilities without the need for a surveyor.

Apart from increasing efficiency in the field, contractors can also easily share designs, access remote support, and keep projects moving from anywhere using Trimble WorksManager Software. With Trimble correction services like CenterPoint® RTX, contractors can experience greater mobility without being limited by a local base station or VRS network. They can also benefit from high-level accuracy delivered worldwide via satellite or cellular/IP.
The Siteworks Machine Guidance Module for compact track loaders is now available for purchase and support worldwide through the SITECH distribution channel. Attendees at the upcoming Trimble Dimensions User Conference in Las Vegas from November 11-13 will have the opportunity to see this technology in action at the Offsite Expo.
With this new addition to their Siteworks Software, Trimble continues to provide innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity for contractors in the construction industry. The Siteworks Machine Guidance Module for compact track loaders is set to revolutionize how these machines are used on job sites around the world.
