JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 2, 2025 ~ OnePlanet Solar Recycling, LLC has recently made a significant addition to its leadership team with the appointment of Nathan Arbitman as its first Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). This announcement comes on the heels of OnePlanet's successful closure of a $7 million seed series funding. As the company prepares to scale its operations and develop its industrial-scale 'River City' solar panel recycling facility, Arbitman will play a crucial role in spearheading OnePlanet's commercial strategy and customer development.
The solar industry is currently facing a pivotal moment as early solar installations approach their end-of-life phase and the market increasingly prioritizes circular economy principles. This has led to a rapid growth in the solar panel recycling market, driven by factors such as repowering projects, weather-related damage, and regulatory requirements. In fact, several states now mandate recycling or decommissioning plans for solar installations.
With over 65 years of industrial recycling expertise, OnePlanet is uniquely positioned to address this challenge through its advanced processes that recover valuable materials such as silicon, copper, aluminum, and glass. These materials are then reintroduced back into American supply chains.
According to André Pujadas, CEO and Co-Founder of OnePlanet Solar Recycling, Arbitman's appointment comes at an opportune time for the company. He stated that "Nathan's deep understanding of the solar value chain, combined with his proven ability to scale clean technologies from pilot to commercial operations, makes him the ideal leader to establish OnePlanet as the solar industry's go-to recycling solution." Pujadas also highlighted Arbitman's track record of building strategic partnerships and driving growth as crucial for scaling operations towards their planned River City Project.

Arbitman brings extensive commercial leadership experience in both the solar energy and advanced materials sectors. He previously served as President & CEO of Endurans Solar where he led an onshoring initiative to better serve the US-based solar value chain. Prior to that, he held senior commercial roles at solar technology leaders DuPont Photovoltaic Solutions and DSM Advanced Solar, where he pioneered circular economy innovations such as recyclable backsheet materials for end-of-life solar panel value recovery. His experience also includes building strategic relationships across the solar value chain from manufacturers to asset owners.
In his new role as Chief Commercial Officer at OnePlanet, Arbitman expressed his excitement to be a part of the company's industrial-scale approach towards solar circularity. He stated that "OnePlanet's industrial-scale approach, grounded in decades of metals recycling expertise, represents the future of solar circularity." He also emphasized his commitment to establishing OnePlanet as the definitive recycling partner for asset owners, developers, and EPCs while supporting the industry's sustainable growth through advanced materials recovery that strengthens domestic supply chains.
Arbitman will be sharing more about OnePlanet at RE+ 25 in Las Vegas on a panel discussion entitled "Closing the Loop – Circular Manufacturing in the Solar and Cleantech Industry."
