DALLAS, Sept. 26, 2024 ~ Parks Associates, a leading market research and consulting company, has announced the topics for its upcoming executive events - the 19th annual CONNECTIONS™ Summit at CES® and the 299th annual CONNECTIONS™ Conference. These events will bring together industry leaders in the connected home space to discuss new business models and the evolving consumer technology landscape.
The CONNECTIONS™ Summit will take place on January 7 in Las Vegas, while the CONNECTIONS™ Conference will be held from May 13-15 at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel. Both events will feature discussions on how various industries within the Internet of Things (IoT) are converging and how consumers are interacting with technology in their homes.
One of Parks Associates' latest research studies, Tech Ecosystem Dashboard, examines the strategies of tech giants such as Apple, Amazon, Google, and Samsung as they expand their service offerings by integrating smart home devices into their product ecosystems. The study found that consumers have reported high satisfaction with smartphones and smart TVs, with net promoter scores (NPS) of 44 and 35 respectively. On the other hand, smart speakers and smart displays have lower NPS scores of 13 and 11.

As video entertainment and smart home solutions continue to merge, companies are focusing on providing a seamless user interface experience to drive engagement. For example, Google recently announced its new Google TV Streamer which offers AI-powered voice search, acts as a smart home hub, and provides access to over 800 free channels and 700,000 movies and TV shows from popular streaming applications.
According to Ashton Gambrell, Director of Sales and Sponsorships at Parks Associates, tech companies are competing for brand loyalty by introducing new products that can integrate with each other. "Companies continue to compete for brand loyalty and to be the comprehensive service provider for the home," he said.
Parks Associates is currently accepting speaker submissions for both events, with topics including AI in the Smart Home, Profitability in the Connected Home, and Navigating the Multifamily IoT Markets. Other topics include Innovations in Safety and Security, Smart Energy Management, and Data Security.
The CONNECTIONS™ Summit at CES is sponsored by companies such as Alarm.com, Kwikset, Shelly, and Ubiety Technologies. Sponsors for the CONNECTIONS™ Conference include Cardinal Peak, Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), Rapid Response Monitoring, SkyBell, and Alarm.com.
Those interested in speaking at either event can submit their proposals through the Parks Associates website. For more information on these events, please contact Mindi Sue Sternblitz-Rubenstein at 972-490-1113.
