LAS VEGAS - nvtip -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that attorney Rob Kinas has been chosen by the American Cancer Society as a 2024 Game Changer Gala Honoree.
Game Changer Gala honorees are selected based on their focused influence and resources in the fight against cancer in Las Vegas, to advance the work of the American Cancer Society, and improve the lives of people battling cancer and their families. This is done through advocacy, research, and patient support to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
"As a grateful cancer survivor, there is no greater joy than helping advance vital research so that others can win their fight against the disease," said Kinas.
Kinas is a 19-year blood cancer survivor. To date, he and his organization, the Cancer Research Racquet, have funded nine cancer research grants through the American Cancer Society. Since 2019, Kinas and the Cancer Research Racquet have collaborated with the Women's Tennis Association Charities to fund cancer research grants in honor of players who have battled the disease. Each year at the French Open in Paris, Kinas and Women's Tennis Association Charities celebrate the funding of further cancer research grants with 200 donors and grant recipients – an event that will hopefully continue for years to come.

When not in Paris, Kinas concentrates his international practice in commercial and corporate bankruptcies, loan restructurings, and commercial finance. He is licensed in Arizona, California, and Nevada, but travels the world to assist clients and to advance worthy causes.
Kinas will be honored at the 2024 American Cancer Society's Game Changer Gala Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Area15's Portal.
