LAS VEGAS - nvtip -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Las Vegas and Portland partner Kelly Dove (https://www.swlaw.com/people/kelly_dove) has been named as the firmwide chair of its appeals and critical motions practice group.
The appeals and critical motions practice group handles appeals in state and federal courts throughout Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and Colorado. She succeeds Andrew Jacobs, who was recently appointed to the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One in Phoenix.
"Kelly's skills as a writer and advocate, and her great breadth of appellate experience, make her ideally suited to lead the firm's appellate practice," commented Jacobs.
Since joining Snell & Wilmer in 2009, Dove has handled hundreds of appeals before a variety of state and federal courts of appeals. She serves as the lawyer-coordinator of the Ninth Circuit's pro bono program in the Districts of Arizona and Nevada and has served as the Chair of Nevada's Appellate Pro Bono Committee since its inception in 2013. Dove is also the editor of the Nevada Appellate Practice Manual and the Nevada State Chair of the ABA's Council of Appellate Lawyers.
